100 Word Story: Rocks For Sale
Elmer seemed as dumb as the box of rocks he was carrying. A stranger finally asked him why he was lugging around the container.
“These are the rocks people throw at me,” Elmer answered. “I sell them at the market.”
Knowing how valuable real rocks are in an artificial world, the stranger asked another question.
“Sure, I get what they’re worth and sometimes a little more,” Elmer answered.
“No one takes advantage of me, if that’s what worries you. People have to give up something if they want to attack me,” Elmer continued.
“And I’ve sold all these rocks before.”
